Australian Catholic Bishops Conference
ACBC is comprised of all the Catholic Bishops in Australia. This website provides statements and submissions relating to human rights, justice and peace, migration and refugees, and includes links to the Australian Catholic Migrant and Refugee Office, Australian Catholic Social Justice Council, and the Bishops' Committee for Justice, Development and Peace.

Australian Human Rights Centre (AHRC)
AHRC is a research institute based in the Faculty of Law, University of New South Wales. It provides a searchable online database, information relevant to refugee law in Australia, and links to Australian Journal of Human Rights, Human Rights Defender, and Guide to the Optional Protocol. Links to other Australian and international human rights resources on the internet are also provided.

Australian Lawyers for Human Rights (ALHR)
ALHR is a network of Australian lawyers interested in furthering awareness and advocacy of human rights in Australia. Information on their campaigns on the UN Special Session on Children, a NSW Bill of Rights, a variety of Federal legislation, and the International Criminal Court can be found at the this website. Links to Australian human rights resources, including a plain language introduction to human rights in Australia, Australian human rights indexes, topics and organisations can also be accessed here.

Centre for Refugee Research
The Centre is focused on refugee flows and resettlement issues and is based in the School of Social Work, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of NSW. This website has information on current issues and events, projects and training programs.

Federation of Ethnic Communities' Councils of Australia (FECCA)
FECCA is the peak national body which advocates for the rights and entitlements of Australians from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. FECCA produces policy statements and media releases which can be viewed at this website.

National Council of Churches in Australia (NCCA)
NCCA is an ecumenical council of member Australian Christian Churches working together. Important dates, online newsletters, articles and an information archive can be found on their website.

Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA)
RCOA is a non-profit organisation that aims to promote the adoption of flexible, humane and constructive policies towards refugees, asylum seekers and displaced persons by the Australian and other governments. Australian Government

Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs (DIMA)
DIMA is the Australian Federal Government department responsible for administering the entrance and settlement of people to Australia. This website provides information and resources on immigration detention and legislation, as well as immigration and settlement publications, research, and statistics.

Refugee Review Tribunal (RRT)
The RRT is an independent body established by the Australian Government in 1993. The RRT reviews individual decisions made by DIMA concerning refugees in Australia. This website describes their role and work, and links to RRT decisions and publications, Tribunal statistics and other refugee resources.

Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission (HREOC)
HREOC is a national independent statutory and government body established in 1986. Matters which can be investigated by the commission include discrimination on the grounds of race, colour or ethnic origin, racial vilification, sex, sexual harassment, marital status or disability. The website contains publications relating to human rights promotion, monitoring and policy development in Australia.

UNHCR helps the world's uprooted people by providing them with basic necessities such as shelter, food, water and medicine in emergencies, and seeking long term solutions, including voluntary return to their homes or resettlement in a new country.
