Ekine Koimb

Eikine joined the Mercy Works Ltd Papua New Guinea staff team in Simbu in 2023 in the role of Advocacy Trainer, which involves awareness raising, outreach and follow up. As a youth leader in the village, he is the co-ordinator of a local church. Eikine is married with one child, having participated in village youth programs. Eikine sees youth as the future leaders and this means care and attention from responsible stakeholders. Eikine believes that youth can also contribute meaningfully in nation building. He uses black rubber tubes daily to cross the wide Whagi River to get to work. He works with the village elders and the people of Kup village. With the MWLPNG staff, local leaders and people he is part of advocating to build a Kup Bridge across the Waghi River.
