Mercy in Action
Walking Together. Changing Lives.
We partner with communities in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines and Timor-Leste to create opportunities for a more just and hopeful future.
Together, we support education, health, and sustainable livelihoods, helping people build their own future.
Each program is developed in partnership with local organisations to ensure it responds to real community needs and creates lasting impact.

Mercy Works Connect supports children, young people and adults from refugee backgrounds through volunteer mentoring and learning support across Australia.
Because lasting impact happens through relationships.

A Practical, Compassionate Approach to Change
Mercy Works works alongside local organisations and communities to support people facing disadvantage. Our programs are community-led, locally driven, and focused on long-term impact.
We believe lasting change happens when people have the tools, confidence and opportunities to shape their own futures.
Because of you, my life has changed.
Lasting impact doesn’t happen by chance — it happens through relationship.
Mercy Works Connect gives the students a chance to build their self-esteem and well-being.
Our students greatly benefit from the volunteer’s one-on-one support, and we can clearly see the growth in their learning.
We can never say "it is enough".
We should be shining lamps, giving light to all around us.
Statement of Support for First Nations People
In the spirit of reconciliation Mercy Works acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we walk, live and work. We recognise their living culture and their unique role in the life of the areas in which Mercy Works are located. We pay tribute to all of those who have nurtured this country over many thousands of years, deriving spiritual and physical needs from the seas, forests, soil, rivers, lakes and streams, and to Elders past and present. We join our First Nations people in honouring these lands as sacred.
