Maria Prescilla

Program Manager - Overseas

Maria joined Mercy Works in March 2022 as Program Manager – Overseas.  She brings with her over 25 years of program management experience, 14 years of which was in a senior management role in a big international development and humanitarian organisation.

Maria’s main area of interests include development effectiveness, program design, monitoring, evaluation, organisational development and financial management.  She also enjoys consolidating and analysing data from big program portfolios to support performance reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Importantly, Maria also brings a wealth of knowledge in compliance and has extensive experience in this area, including DFAT accreditation, ACFID Code of Conduct, CHS and others.  She has spent most of her program management experience strengthening organisational development practice to ensure alignment with the sector’s good practice standards and codes. If she wasn't so good at working on systems and processes, Maria's sons say her cooking is so delicious she could run a a paddock-to-plate style restaurant, using her homegrown backyard vegetables and fruits.
