TIMOR-LESTE
In Timor-Leste, many families are working hard to meet their most basic needs. Poverty, child malnutrition, and limited access to clean water and healthcare make daily life challenging – especially in remote communities.
Together with the Hospitaller Sisters of Mercy, we work alongside communities in remote Maucatar, in the Cova Lima region, to improve health, strengthen nutrition, and create opportunities for families to earn an income. This is practical, community-led support that responds to local needs.
From providing protein for mothers and children, to delivering mobile health clinics, supporting livelihoods, and improving access to safe water, our work is helping families build healthier, more secure futures.
42% of people live in poverty
One in two children don’t get the nutrition they need to grow
In rural communities, one in five people lack access to basic water

We’re expanding our work in Timor-Leste, with a new project launching in August.
