Our Commitment to Child Safety

Mercy Works Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse and exploitation.

We are committed to creating and maintaining an environment where all children and young people are respected, protected and able to participate safely. This applies across all our work in Australia and in our international programs.

We take all concerns seriously and respond in line with our safeguarding policies and legal obligations.

Report a Concern

If you have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child or an adult at risk, we encourage you to speak up.

If you, or someone you know, has experienced or witnessed harm involving a Mercy Works employee, volunteer, partner or representative, please contact our Executive Director:

We will:

  • Listen respectfully
  • Take your concern seriously
  • Keep your information confidential (within legal requirements)
  • Explain the next steps and available options

You can make a report even if you are unsure or do not have all the details.

Reporting to Authorities

If a child is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services. In Australia, call 000.

If you are aware of abuse or exploitation of a child or an adult at risk, you are strongly encouraged to report this to the police or relevant local authorities.
